Niantic Labs has been busy trying to stabilize the servers of "Pokemon GO" but they have recently announced their intention to finally focus on rolling out more content.

"Pokemon GO" became a worldwide phenomenon earlier this year when it was released in July but a significant chunk of its players have abandoned the game. The gaming company hopes to lure in the players again with huge updates that are coming soon.

Niantic Labs is finally ready to release major new features for "Pokemon GO." According to International Business Times, an update coming in December will reportedly bring in an additional 100 Pokemon in the game. "Pokemon GO" currently has a buddy system, in-game events, player rewards, and new gym fight mechanics in place but Niantic Labs aims to add more to cater more player engagement.

Furthermore, "Pokemon GO" players will finally have the means to trade with others, track Pokemon more accurately and they may be able to add other players in a friends list seeing as there will be a new notification system for the game.

The hype around "Pokemon GO" is picking up once again with the release of Ditto in the game. Many players spent months and months to find the elusive Pokemon but it wasn't only a couple of weeks ago that Ditto was finally captured. There have been rumors that Pokemon Legendaries including Mew, Mewtwo, and the birds Articuno, Zapdos and Moltres will make an appearance as well.

One of the reasons why "Pokemon GO" slowed down over the past few months is that Niantic Labs was too busy making post-launch fixes and updates to accommodate players worldwide. Android Headlines reports that Niantic Labs failed to deliver more game content and that may be why players have moved on to the next mobile game.

Are Niantic Labs' efforts to release more update be enough to lure "Pokemon GO" players back in the game again? Let us know what you think in the comments below.
