'Attack on Titan' Game Release Date, News: Watch Heart-Stopping Trailer for 3DS Visual Novel

"Attack on Titan" is getting a game on 3DS and Koei Temco recently uploaded a new trailer. The game is entitled "Shingeki no Kyojin: Shichi Kara no Dasshutsu" or "Attack on Titan: Escape from Certain Death" in English. It is a visual novel game about survival and will feature characters and voices from the anime.

"Attack on Titan" was originally a popular manga series by Hajime Isamaya before it was animated.

According to Epic Stream and the name of the "Attack on Titan" game, the player will play as the protagonist who will be joining the Survey Attack Corps in an investigation. The game will take place in an old castle and when the Titans attack, the protagonist will fall in the lower levels of the building.

Escaping the Titans is crucial, however, it is revealed that the Three Dimensional Maneuver Gear is broken and can no longer be used. Players will need to find a new way to survive the onslaught of Titan attacks. It was also noted that the "Attack on Titan" game on 3DS is not a traditional fighting game but a visual novel where players will need to make decisions on choices presented to them. However, an "Attack on Titan" fighting game is currently available on PS4.

In Koei Tecmo's "Attack on Titan" game trailer; it was revealed that familiar characters from the anime will be in the visual novel game. Some of the notable characters include Eren Yeager, Mikasa Ackerman and Levi. According to Siliconera, players can pick to become a female protagonist with Levi as the partner or as a male protagonist with Mikasa.

"Attack on Titan: Escape from Certain Death" will be released exclusively for the Nintendo 3DS and it will be officially released by March 30, 2017. The game will retail for 5,800 yen for the standard edition and 12,800 for the Treasure Box edition. The latter includes the game, six badges, posters, a theme for the 3DS and a visual book.
