Saitama has significantly weakened after he defeated Lord Boros at the end of season 1 of "One Punch Man." Yes, even the best superheroes have their off moments and this may be what will happen to Saitama at the start of season 2. Rumors say that as he is in his weakened form, enemies of Z - City will attack to take advantage of the situation. Saitama will be forced to fight Garou or Amai Mask but will be defeated.

GAMENGUIDE said that there are rumors that Saitama will be defeated after his fight against Garou or Amai. A fight against Amai will be a personal one considering that this hero turned villain is very popular in the Hero Association where Saitama is a member. This will be a personal battle since Amai has all the characteristics that Saitama lacks.

But there is one thing that Saitama's enemies don't have which will make him win at the end. This is Saitama's friendship with his cyborg sidekick Genos who will surely reprise his role as follower/roommate/sidekick of Saitama in season 2.

The University Herald also announced that it could take time for season 2 of "One Punch Man" to be released. It was previously reported that season 2 would be out Christmas 2016 however, creators of the series are asking for more time considering the complexity of the fight scenes and story lines.

There are no news yet when season 2 will be available but a recent tweet from creators said that they are eyeing on a 2017 release but no specific date was given.

Aside from an exciting storyline, one of the reasons why fans anticipate season 2 is that the TV series has deviated from its original manga series. And to satisfy eager fans, a new set of "One Punch Man" action figures have been recently released online.
