'Danganronpa V3' English PS4, PSVita to Come 2017 in West; Monokuma Returns but with a Twist?

"Danganronpa" is a popular Japanese visual novel that has a cult following around the world. In fact, it has many fans from the West that an English version of the latest game "Dangranronpa V3: Killing Harmony" will be released next year in North America and Europe.

In a translated press release, NIS America will reportedly be releasing "Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony" on both PlayStation 4 and PS Vita in 2017. The third installment will reportedly be in a new "psycho-cool" school environment with 16 characters captured to play the murder mystery game.

Spike Chunsoft's "Danganronpa V3" will be released in physical and digital formats next year with dual English and Japanese audio as well.

"Danganronpa V3" will also feature new Ultimates which means that characters from the past will not be making any cameos except for the monochrome bear Monokuma who will undoubtedly wreak havoc and despair among the unfortunate Ultimates. Apart from the new minigames, there will be new murder mysteries and a debate style of game where players will need to answer correctly to solve it.

According to News Everyday, "Danganronpa V3" follows "Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc" and "Super Danganronpa 2: Goodbye, Despair Academy" which were released for the PSP in 2010 and 2012 respectively. Both games have been ported for the PS Vita in 2014 with a Steam version as well. Aside from the games, the game franchise has its own animated series as well.

Not much is known yet about the "Danganronpa V3" as of this writing but a trailer for the game has been released. There will be more information regarding the Ultimates and the plot of the game in the next few days. Meanwhile, preorders for the limited edition "Danganronpa V3" for PS Vita and PS4 are currently being accepted at the official website of NIS America.
