As the previous season's finale was a cliffhanger a lot of fans are highly anticipating "Tokyo Ghoul" Season 3. While the presence of the third season is pretty much confirmed, the release date is still unknown but rumors say that it could probably around March 2017. Protagonist Kaneki Ken and his friends will once again return to the show in a way that will shock non-manga readers.

"Tokyo Ghoul" Season 3 will be a continuation of what has happened in the previous season ast he whole series will reportedly become darker in theme with the series' protagonist Kaneki Ken as an investigator. It was reported that he will have a face off with either Souta or Furuta and this may well push Kaneki to succeed as the One-Eyed King (OEK), the leader of the Ghoul organization Aogiri Tree, according to News Everyday.

There are several speculations about the real identity of the One-Eyed King (OEK) and who he really is. In the "Tokyo Ghoul" manga version, it was suspected that OEK is Eto Yoshimura but it turns out that she was in cahoots with the him. Then Kishou Arima was found to be the OEK but will eventually pass on the title to its successor which is speculated to be Kaneki Ken.

According to Movie News Guide, "Tokyo Ghoul" Season 3 has been delayed mainly because the show's management has been turned over from Studio Pierrot to Madman Entertainment, the studio behind the hit shows "Death Note" and "One Punch Man."

Another reason for the delay of "Tokyo Ghoul" Season 3 is that a movie for the series is being produced and thus, man power has not been allocated to make the next installment. Furthermore, the outlet claims that the writer behind "Tokyo Ghoul" wants to stay "faithful" to the content and needs more time to shape it up before airing the series.
