TCL to Unveil Blackberry Brand Smartphone in CES 2017

New Blackberry smartphone may be unveiled into the technology market at the CES 2017 event. Recent reports hitting the internet shows that a Chinese company known as TCL famous for TVs and Alcatel phones made an agreement with the Canadian firm to release handsets under the BlackBerry brand.

According to Tech Radar, it is reported that the new smartphone might be unveiled at the upcoming CES 2017 early next month. TCL is reported to unveil an evolutionary product first in the mobile industry, which will include the addition of the new BlackBerry brand of smartphones, complementing the company's current portfolio.

Steve Cistulli, head of TCL in North America, said "We'll unveil more news at CES around our plans, showcasing the legacy of the BlackBerry smartphone brand, while also giving a glimpse into what new BlackBerry smartphones will offer as part of our bold new brand portfolio within [TCL],"

It is still unclear what TCL is planning for in terms of Smartphone segment. There might be a big unveiling in the CES 2017 and expectations are made that the company will go far beyond the budget Smartphones with innovative features.

According to PR NEWS, Steve Cistulli, (TCT), states "We've reached a point in our industry when we must boldly go where no other handset manufacturer has gone before; evolving how we serve our customers and consumers. Business and market growth must go beyond just delivering value-focused handsets, and must now include a much more complete portfolio of devices and brands."

TCL Communication Technology Holdings Limited (TCT) with its North America headquarters based in Irvine, California, is a wholly owned company of TCL Corporation. It is a global consumer electronics brand with products sold in over 160 countries throughout North America, Latin America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia Pacific.

TCT is currently the fourth largest handset manufacturer in North America. The company also operates nine R&D centers worldwide and employs over 13,500 people globally.
