Niantic Inc. the American software development company based in San Francisco, California best known for developing and publishing the augmented reality mobile game Pokemon Go has come out with a festive gift as Christmas special.

According to Mirror.co.uk included in the events is an increased hatch rate for eggs containing the new additions to the game like Togepi. This will be a very exciting offering for the Pokemon user base.

It was pretty much being expected from the Pokemon fan base that something new as features would be released soon from the Niantic kitty and sure it has appeared as a festive gift in the form of Pikachu wearing a Santa hat and what more you would be pleased to know there will be other Pokemon donning the red headgear too.

As report by Forbes from December 25 to January 3, Pokestops will give out a single-use Incubator every day, once a day. Youwill now find new eggs that have a greater chance of hatching the Gen 2 Pokémon that Niantic introduced into the game earlier this month, Togepi, Pichu, etc. Santa Hat Pikachu will stay around longer than the 29th, when he was supposed to disappear initially. He will also appear more often which is expected to be added fun to the current dynamics of the game.

December 30 to January 8, the original starters, Squirtle, Bulbasaur and Charmadner, and their evolutions will appear more frequently throughout the world.

Lure Modules will also last for 60 minutes rather than 30 minutes during this time period in order to increase your chances of encountering one of these cuties on the move.

In line with other Pokenews, the game has added over 10,000 new PokéStops in cahoots with Sprint and Starbucks, revealed the first set of Gen 2 Pokémon and launched on Apple Watch.

These new features are expected to excite the Pokemon communities as the new holiday event or are it too little, too late? Are you hoping for more impactful events and updates in the future or are you satisfied with Niantic's efforts so far?

Stay tuned with us for more such interesting developments waiting to surprise the Pokemanina's in coming future.
