Ariana Grande Claims Being Objectified: ‘I am not a piece of meat’

Ariana Grande recently claimed being degraded and objectified by a male , misogynistic fan. The singer took to Twitter following the incident and shared her perspective on female objectification in society.

According to a report published by E! Online, Grande was with her boyfriend Mac Miller, picking out some food, when a male fan approacher the couple. He told Miller how he admired Grande.

The unknown man went on to follow then to their car until Miller was finally seated in the driver's seat. In her post on Twitter, Grande told how he first seemed excited and cute, but then he really objectified her by telling Miller, "Ariana is sexy as hell man. I see you, I see you hitting that!!!"

The "Dangerous Woman" singer said that she his statement may not seem absurd to a majority of people. However, she felt totally objectified and sick at that particular moment. She confessed sitting right next to Miller when the man made this statement.

Grande further confessed being left hurt after the incident. According to the singer, these kind of moment leave women quiet and filled with inadequacy and fear.

In her post on Twitter, she took a stand and told the world that she is not a piece of meat for anyone to utilize for pleasure purposes. But, she is a mature adult who is in a relationship with an adult man who treats her with dignity, respect and love.

She further stressed on the importance of taking about these issues openly and publicly because such statements can be harmful to women. According to her, women are queens and not a prize or an object.

In fact, women themselves need to be vocal about such issues and not to hide them from the world. Grande believed that if women remain silent about these issues, then they will continue till eternity.
