Trey Songz had an onstage meltdown and was charged by the authorities for his onstage antics and for punching a police officer.

The Grammy-nominated hitmaker whose real name is Tremaine Neverson reportedly threw microphones and speakers from the stage, Associated Press reported. He was charged with malicious destruction of property and resisting and obstructing arrest immediately after his arrest.

Neverson was performing at the fourth annoual Big Show at the Joe at Detroit's Joe Louis Arena headlined by Chris Brown, Lil Yachty, Young M.A and others. At around 11:30 p.m, the organizers reportedly told him that is time was up so they cut off his microphone and lights. The singer reportedly responded to the call by throwing anything that he could get his hands on.

"He was told his set was over, that he would have to get off the stage. "At which time, he became irate and started throwing objects [from] the stage: speakers, microphones, anything he could get his hands on." " Detroit police officer Dan Donakowsi told The Detroit Free Press.

The incident reportedly did not stop there. Sources say that Neverson punched a police officer in the head backstage. The officer suffered a concussion and had to be taken to the hospital after the hit. Earlier this month, the singer was involved in a similar incident when he was kicked out of the MGM National Harbor Hotel. He claimed that he was playing cards at the casino when someone from another table started to talk crazy and drew the attention of security to him.

Neverson was arraigned this morning and was released on a $25,000 bond. His next appearance will be on Jan. 5, 2017. In response to the controversy, the artist wrote in an Instagram caption, "You become your own reputation unfairly or not..."
