Twitter has launched Live Video Streams for the users to get more interactive. The company launched this service on the Periscope service.

Among the features in it are that while viewing it, the users can tilt their phone in different directions, swipe on the screen or use mouse to look around in 360 degrees and explore the scene from any angle.

Twitter Director of AR and VR Alessandro Sabatelli wrote in a blog post that its a view unfolding is behind, above, or below the broadcaster's view for an immersive experience.

The implementation of this feature is quite typical, on the desktop, users can click and drag around the screen to rotate the camera. On mobile, users can twist and turn their phone in order to change the perspective.

For the current situation, live 360 broadcast have limited advantages to many well-known personalities, but everyone on Twitter and Periscope will be able to see the streams. Users broadcasting video streams will be marked with a LIVE 360 Badge.

The Periscope apparently have revealed that they are testing the feature with small group of partners, planning to roll it out more in the coming weeks.

The team said that with the 360 video on Periscope, one can experience moments with the broadcaster and take a look around, it's actually one step closer than being in there. Users will be able to join live 360 videos on Periscope and Twitter from some of the most incredible broadcasters.

Some of the opportunities are getting front-row access at exclusive events, travelling to places around the globe and getting up close with well-known personalities.

With this new video stream feature, Twitter apparently is following the footsteps of Facebook who launched live 360 video streams feature earlier in December. In Facebook too this feature is in a limited advantage.
