Expected to be released on the third quarter of 2017, a news report from China claims that the third-generation Apple Watch by Apple is said to focus on improving the battery life and overall performance of the device.

The source claimed on Tuesday that the improved wearable device by Apple will be manufactured by Taiwan-based Quanta. It was noted that Quanta also was responsible for the production of Apple's first and second-generation smartwatch, according to Mac Rumors.

According to some rumors, Quanta's plans and priorities include the main focus of improving the battery life and general performance of the third-generation Apple Watch. Meanwhile, the other hardware of the device would be mostly similar to prior version. However, Quanta declined to comment on the report while describing it as "market speculation".

Aside from those promising features and specs, other alleged patent designs by Apple have surfaced around the web. And to add to the hype regarding the third-generation Apple Watch, there are speculations that the third-generation Apple Watch's release will be unveiled alongside the upcoming iPhone 8.

The report also narrows down Apple's rumored ambitions for the third-generation device, with previous reports suggesting it could introduce the first significant design changes for the timepiece, such as more advanced sensors that Apple was not able to include in the first and second-generation models.

it was also speculated that the third-generation Apple Watch will add cellular connectivity after battery life concerns prevented the feature to be possible in the Series 2 device. Not only that, some suggested that the third-generation Apple Watch will opt for micro-LED displays that is thinner and lighter than current screens and offer improved color gamut and brightness.

Previous reported patents allegedly submitted by Apple for the upcoming Apple Watch includes the ability of the wearable device to determine a user's identity through their heart rate and unique cardio rhythms. On the other hand, some indicated that future models will enable integrate haptic feedback into Apple Watch bands that could make internal space available for other components and allowing for a thinner body design.
