Android Nougat Update: Moto Z Starts Receiving Nougat Update In China; DROID Turbo 2 To Follow

Android Nougat update is finally out for the Moto Z smartphone in China, which arrives as Build number NCC25.106-11. The much-awaited update comes around a month after the Motorola officially announced the global rollout of the update.

Moto Z and Moto Z Force users in the US started getting the Android Nougat update back in November, however now it appears the global rollout has finally begun, reports PC-Tablet. The said handset is also expected to receive an Android Security Patch dated Dec. 1, 2016.

On the other hand, the Motorola DROID Turbo 2 which is also known as Moto X Force is the next in line to receive the Android 7.0 Nougat update. The Bluetooth SIG has revealed that the Motorola DROID Turbo 2 has been certified to use the Android 7.0 OS. The Android 7.0 Nougat update brings about some new features for the Motorola DROID Turbo 2 smartphone, as well as enhancing the ones currently existing, reports Phone Arena.

With the latest Nougat Update Moto Z users will be able to use key features of the 7.0 Nougat such as split-screen multitasking, and the new advanced Doze feature, along with quick switching among app. Also, Moto Z users will also see a revamped notifications shade, redesigned Sitting menu, and also the capability quickly reply from the Notifications panel.

The Doze mode will get much smarter and makes the phone go in sleep mode when not in use; thereby it improves battery life of the smartphone. Moreover, the update will also brings support for Google's Daydream VR platform, making it one the first third party devices to get DayDream VR compatibility, according to GSM Arena.

The rill out has just begun, so it may take time for the update to hit your device. In the meantime, if you feel impatient, you can manually check for it by heading to your handset's Settings > System updates > Check for system update.
