Japanese NES Classic revamped: Famicom Mini to Famicom Pocket

Many are awed on the idea and concept integrated into the Famicom Mini, or Japan's equivalent of the NES Classic Edition. The Famicom Mini has been fitted into the Game Boy which made every true gamer beam with happiness.

The idea was pioneered by the very creative Kei Studio who also has previously made a portable version of the PS2. Kei Studio created a portable version of the Famicom Mini contained within the shell of a Game Boy and called the product as Famicom Pocket.

This is not Kei Studio's first time in cramming other devices into other devices' bodies. Back in November, Kei Studio successfully modified the PlayStation 2's guts into a compact form factor similar to the Famicom Pocket. Although the final product was as thick as a textbook in the end, it does still qualified as a portable device.

The creator thought of this brilliant idea as they have realized that the Game Boy and Famicom (or NES) had the same button configuration which makes sense that you could use a Game Boy in the same process. Impressively, Famicom Pocket also apparently can enable to support system link for two player games, according to Tech Times.

However, like the NES Classic Edition, the Famicom Mini only comes bundled with 30 games. Expectedly, the the Japanese version has a different selection compared to the Western one but indeed, the player is stuck with 30 games only.
