"Game of Thrones" one of the most anticipated TV series, is expected to have its end with the release of its last season in 2018 and the show is going to be longer than expected. The TV series has gained a major popularity among its audience over the past few years with a twist in its storyline from one season to another.

The most downloaded television show has created an excitement among its fans for the release of Season 8, which is predictably longer than its previous seasons. The showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss said that "Game of Thrones" will come to an end with a cap of 73 hours from the last Season.

Unlike the earlier seasons, which consisted of ten episodes each, Season 7 and Season 8 would be finishing off with seven and six episodes but with a longer duration.

Casey Bloys, HBO'S programming president expressed himself on how the show runners are figuring out the shape of the season, and how they want to present it to their audience. Casey also confirms the talks regarding the prequel series saying that it would be very special without any rush and some shots would be taken, which will make a spin-off feature for the prequel series, Independent reported.

According to Games Radar, Davos a character from Game of Thrones excused himself for revealing about the six episodes in season 8, which might not take place. The Television show will continue and will air its Season 7 on HBO during summer.

Due to the need of colder conditions required by the crew to film Season 7 of "Game of Thrones," the release is expected to be slightly delayed than the normal given due date in April. The season is currently being filmed in Iceland taking the appropriate weather condition into account for better results, as often witnessed in the television show.
