Pokemon Go Updates: New Events, Region Unlocking, Shiny Pokemon And More

Niantic conducted a detailed survey in order to explore favorite Pokémon Go events in the past. Survey results showed that the Holiday Event Part 2 and Thanksgiving events have been the most favorite. As compared to Holiday Event 2, thanksgiving events won more votes. On the basis of these results Niantic launched their new Pokémon Go Ditto.

Pokémon Go announced updating their versions for Android and Apple devices. According to Pokémon's Official statement "Pokémon GO is in the process of being updated to version 0.53.1 for Android and 1.23.1 for iOS devices. Below are some release notes and comments from our development team.

• Updated Apple Watch to display Eggs obtained from PokéStops
• Changed distance tracking to better account for GPS drift
• Minor text fixes

Just like the Halloween event was launched along with a buddy system, Niantic attached important additions and announcements with every launch of new event. This example can best be seen when Niantic introduced Pokémon Gen 2 on Christmas launching event. Pokémon Gen 2 was attached to 7, Gen 2 Pokémon. Niantic is in continuous pursuit of consumer choices and interests. They collect data of consumer choices through online questionnaires and voting system.

Tauros, KangasKhan, Farfetch'd and Mr. Mime remain limited by region locking. Tauros Available in North America, Mr. Mime in Europe, Farfetch'd in Asia and KangasKhan in Australia only.

In 2017, with new updates, it is expected that all the regions will unlocked and will be made accessible from any part of the world. Sources have confirmed that new updates from Niantic are coming in the near future.  A new update from Niantic is Mew and Mewtwo are amazing Pokémon 150 and 151. These new two additions are the mighty strong and hard to catch. Capturing Mewtwo and storing it will reward gyms for fight.

Forbes reported that Niantic announced the polls results on January 12, 2017. 54 percent of voters favored Halloween event and 18 percent elected thanksgiving event. The Niantic management needs serious steps for their very survival in the market. China, Saudi Arabia and Iran have officially banned the game for security concerns. Indonesia restricted their Policemen from Playing the game during duty hours. In 2016, players lost interest in the game due to low or no updates for the game.

The biggest expected Pokémon Go update is believed to be Gen 2 Pokémon. The new updates may include Articuno, Molters and Zapdos. All the Pokémon are bird type with their traditional features. The new updates may include the shiny Pokémon Go with color animations that will make the game more interesting and eye catching.
