‘Star Wars: Episode 8’ Spoilers: First Trailer Gets April Release; New, Key Character Details

"Star Wars: Episode 8" release date is just months away and not even the first trailer of the film has made its way on the internet as yet. However, latest reports indicate that a trailer could be under making as of now and could be released pretty soon.

The first "Star Wars: Episode 8" trailer is expected to be released in April, during a celebrations event. The news was confirmed by The Managing Director of Fandango and MoviesDotCom, Erik Davis, on Twitter.

Davis confirmed that the work on the "Star Wars: Episode 8" trailer initiated a few weeks ago. The filming for the film has already been completed and the scenes are currently being edited in tha post production phase.

With the help of director Rian Johnson, the first rough cut of the film is being prepared. This is the time when the team works on adding special effects, dialogues and music to the compiled scenes. The film then enters the final editing phase, during which the team together decides on the scenes that will be kept in the movie and those that will be deleted.

Meanwhile, a video posted by a YouTube user named "short Stormtrooper" suggests that there will a new character in the film, played by actor Del Toro. The user claims that Toro may be playing the role of a smuggler and an information broker called Talon Karrder.

The character of Talon Karrde is originally derived from the non-canon Legends. He is one of the most powerful information brokers in the galaxy, who is reliable, honest and likes to keep a low profile.

This information broker is expected to play a key role in "Star Wars: Episode 8." The user further claims that the movie may not only focus of the New Republic and the First Order, but will involve multiple other groups as well.
