Reportedly, his health is failing and it's going to take him longer to finish the rest of his manga. When he died to save Luffy, he set off his younger brother's training journey.

After three years, the Dressrosa Arc has come to an end. The Whole Cake Island will almost end, too. But with 35 percent to go, fans can still enjoy around three hundred more chapters.

Apparently, 2017 will be a very big year for the "One Piece" manga. Since it's nearing the finish line, the story will pull out all the stops and reveal huge surprises. The manga started in 1997 and already has more than 80 volumes out today.
