"One Piece" Manga Chapter 853 will not be available this week. Eiichiro Oda, the comics' artist and author, is going to take his second hiatus within three weeks. Reportedly, his health is failing and it's going to take him longer to finish the rest of his manga. One announcement that will bring the fans' spirits up is a new spin-off that will focus on Luffy's brother Ace.

Fans can't wait for "One Piece" Chapter 853, which might finally feature a war on Whole Cake Island. Sanji will most likely stay on the island to defend his family instead of sailing away with the Straw Hat Pirates. Knowing the main characters' personalities, fans can expect a battle with the Charlotte clan.

"One Piece" manga spin-off will feature Luffy's brother

Meanwhile, Crunchyroll revealed that there will be an Ace-focused magazine. Last year was the Year of Sanji, but that character arc and origin story might be coming to a close in the higly-awaited Chapter 853. Portgas D. Ace will be the main focus of the new magazine this year. Ace was one of the most important and interesting characters on the show and the manga. When he died to save Luffy, he set off his younger brother's training journey.

Although fans have seen Luffy's strength and power grow exponentially in every arc, the death of his brother was a huge catalyst for his development. There are still no announcements on the plot of the Ace spin-off, but fans are excited to see some parts of his earlier life explored.

"One Piece" manga might end after 300 more chapters

On a more pressing note, Comicbook reported that the "One Piece" manga will come to an end, sooner than expected. It seems like the manga will keep going on forever, but Oda revealed to the newspaper, Dai One Piece Shinbun, that he is actually already 65 percent done. After three years, the Dressrosa Arc has come to an end. The Whole Cake Island will almost end, too. But with 35 percent to go, fans can still enjoy around three hundred more chapters.

Apparently, 2017 will be a very big year for the "One Piece" manga. Since it's nearing the finish line, the story will pull out all the stops and reveal huge surprises. The manga started in 1997 and already has more than 80 volumes out today.
