This Tuesday on "NCIS" (CBS, 8/7c), Jimmy Palmer has a stupendous adventure, setting the stage for startling insight into Ducky's mild-mannered assistant.

Of all the colleagues in "NCIS," Ducky's (David McCallum) lab assistant Jimmy Palmer (Brian Dietzen) has gotten minimal measure of screen time in Season 14. Very little is thought about the mild-mannered science geek. In any case, that is set to change in an upcoming episode in the CBS series.

In "NCIS" Season 14 episode 13, Palmer will investigate a hit-and-run case. Amid the investigation, he makes an impulse decision and joins a stranger on the outside edge of a building keeping in mind the end goal to spare his life. He races to help a jumper. What follows is a reversal of Jimmy's usual duties, as he labors to help an alive person stay that way (versus determine how a corpse came to be), Tvline reported.

Obviously, Gibbs (Mark Harmon), Torres (Wilmer Valderrama) and the rest of the group rapidly discover what Palmer has done.

Jimmy will attempt his best to keep the jumper from tumbling to his death. "This guy obviously wants to kill himself, and it's Jimmy's duty to say, 'Hey, look, life is worth living,'" Dietzen explained, "You need to keep going, for a reason, for some reason."

The "NCIS" actor uncovered that this scene, titled "Keep going," will be peppered with flashbacks demonstrating Palmer's past. He has dependably been an idealistic character.

The show's official maker, Scott Williams, has composed Season 14 episode 13 and it was the main script that got finished after showrunner Gary Glasberg's sudden passing in September a year ago.

Dietzen prodded that the scene will uncover immense insider facts about his character. The man-on-a-ledge crisis, though, is only half of the drama to be had as the hour unfolds.

Stay tune for more update of "NCIS" Season 14.
