Australian hit series "Wentworth" shocked fans when it killed off its main character Bea Smith (Danielle Cormack) in the Season 4 finale,  leading some viewers to believe that Foxtel SoHo is not keen on picking up the series for a fifth season. But Season 5 has been greenlighted and fans are already sharing their theories about why Vera allowed Bea to escape in the first place.

Fans of the show have been quite busy wondering and figuring out what may have led the producers to kill off such a key character from the show and refused to believe that she would not be returning to the series at all for Season 5. Even when Executive Producer Jo Porter herself explained why they had to kill off Bea, fans remained unconvinced that Bea actually died in the last episode before hiatus.

"It is always an incredibly difficult decision to say farewell to a much-loved and revered character like Bea Smith," Porter said in a statement posted by News Australia.

However, fans believe what they choose to believe and hard core fans of the show like Reddit user EyesClosing has thought of a great way that the show could bring back the fan favorite character without having to take back her death.

In her post, the fan said that that the show could explore the events leading up to the fated attack by Ferguson. She theorized that the series could explore how Bea obtained the screwdriver in the first place and conspired with Vera to take down Joan "The Freak" Ferguson.

In an interview with Perth Now, Pamela Rabe, who plays Ferguson shares the possibility that Vera might have conspired ith her character to take down Bea. With this conspiracy, both women now have a hold over each other that may dictate the future trajectory of their storylines, especially their ambitions to become prison governor.

Wentworth Season 5 returns to Foxtel Soho on May 10.
