Fans finally can rejoice when Netflix announced that a new installment of "The Seven Deadly Sins" is soon available for streaming. "The Seven Deadly Sins" is an anime series that takes a set in European Middle Ages.

According to a report, Netflix has listed "The Seven deadly Sins" Season 2 for a Feb. 17 release. So far, the popular streaming platform has acquired six exclusive rights to the  anime series, one of which is the first season of "The Seven Deadly Sins" with English subs and dubs.

However, fans may not have been quite happy with the announcement since Netflix seems to have mislabeled the upcoming release. The series that Netflix claims to release next month is actually not the real Season 2, but rather a bridging-season miniseries titled "Signs of Holy War." The miniseries also has been out in Japan for quite some time.

Comicbook reported that "Signs of Holy War" is initially meant to be a sequel to Season 1 in order to make the anime parallel to the manga series. The four-episode miniseries will continue the story of the third Princess Elizabeth and her journey in searching the Sacred Knights to help her take back the kingdom. The princess will still struggle with the corrupt world and return the justice into the kingdom.

Until now, there has been a little information about Season 2 plot; however, the story will seem to be focused on Escanor, whose wanted poster is displayed on Meliodas Pub. Escanor is a character with dual-personality that depends on the solar cycle. Escanor has been one of the beloved characters, although he only appeared recently in chapter 174 of the manga.

The next release will surely be something that fans can look forward to. "The Seven Deadly Sins" is available to stream exclusively on Netflix and the miniseries sequel, "The Seven Deadly Sins: Signs of Holy War," will be ready to stream on February, 17.
