Apple is all geared up to introduce Siri-power speakers for home, an added feature of interest for Apple iPhone users. The new enhancement of technology is seemingly an element for Apple to compete with its competitor Amazon Echo, which is developed with the same technology.

Apple is also expected to offer a platform to the third-Party apps developers, making it easier for them to tap into the voice assistant. The Siri software development kit is more likely to happen soon, whereas the Echo's rival is more of a long-term project, reported The Verge.

During Apple's annual WWDC conference, the Siri SDK will supposedly have its arrival earliest by June.  Moreover, some of the third party companies have crafted a deal with Apple to have an access to Siri. Yelp is one such app developing company, which has gained the access to Siri SKD to utilise Apple's voice assistant.

Since long before the arrival of the Echo, Siri speakers were in the development process. Siri SKD also includes some of the confirmed add-on features, which comprises the performance of certain task associated with automated bots. It also consists the feature of turn the on and off for the appliances supported by Apple's Home Kit Platform, as per Apple Insider.

Unlike Facebook's M and other bots, Siri would supposedly be less restrained and a more helpful feature for Apple, which would assist the device in setting up of alarms and sending texts messages. The device is said to be more beneficial as Apple is all set to introduce it for Mac as well this year, other than just home speakers and phone.

Despite all its advantageous features, Siri is still criticised for some of its cons for having limited functions, like the lack of the ability of the device to answer contextual questions and also often misunderstanding requests, just as seen in Google Assistant.
