Samsung has launched a version of the Gear S3 Classic with LTE connectivity on SK Telecom in South Korea. The wearable device cost about 451,000 won - up to $390 and ships with three exclusive watch faces that is designed exclusively for the new model.

The Samsung Gear S3 has two distinct variant - the Frontier and Classic, with each of the sporting a dramatically different design. While the Frontier is specifically for people who prefer their smartwatch to look rugged and durable, whereas the Classic is designed for people who want theirs to look right at home when worn with a suit, Phone Arena reported.

The Gear S3 Classic looks more elegant and sports a classier design but no LTE connectivity. The Frontier version, on the other hand, is the more rugged, sporty model that does feature LTE connectivity. While the Frontier version features longer, flat buttons, the Classic variant sports more prominent, circular buttons on the side.

Both devices have the popular rotating bezel which allows users to accept and reject calls by rotating the bezel. The bezel can also be used when changing music volume or setting alarm or timers. Both the frontier and the classic models feature 1.3 inch Super AMOLED circular display covered in Corning's new Gorilla Glass SR+ to protect it from scratches and Samsung's "Always on Display" feature which supports 16 million colors, according to Android Authority.

This is spectacular considering the difference in choice among people of the contemporary society, but other than looks, the Frontier and Classic are the same in every other area. However, the frontier variant slightly supersede the classic variant in that the former  supports LTE connectivity which allows users to use the Gear S3 Frontier as a standalone device without having to connect it to a smartphone.

But now, the Classic version of Samsung's Gear S3 can now be purchased with LTE connectivity, fans are delighted at this update as it will give them the advantage that the frontier has been giving to its users. Users can now use their device outdoor to keep in touch with family and friends without worrying about bringing their smartphones.

Although, the developer has not officially announced its plans to provide the  LTE-equipped Gear S3 Classic to the States market or any other market in the world outside of South Korea, fans are hoping the Samsung does sooner than later.
