‘Pitch Perfect 3’ News: Lead Star Anna Kendrick Reveals Possible LGBT Storyline

"Pitch Perfect" lead star Anna Kendrick (Beca) has revealed that there is a possibility of a lesbian storyline for the third installment of the franchise. She teased that fans will likely see more of BeChloe romance - a name derived from Beca and Chloe (Brittany Snow).

Following what seems to be an attraction between Beca and Chloe during their "Titanium" duet inside a shower room, fans have been pushing for them to be in a lesbian relationship and it seems their wish will finally come to pass in "Pitch Perfect 3."

Kendrick has showed interest in granting the wishes of fans during an interview with a print magazine in a past, and also acknowledged that she feels more excited about the third installment of the film than "Pitch Perfect 2."

She stated admitted that making a movie for the fans is not always a great strategy. "But these hardcore fans are really, really smart," with her words being interpreted as referring to the BeChloe lesbian storyline, which fans have been anticipating for a while now.

However, there is not yet an official announcement from Universal Pictures on the likely lesbian storyline for the upcoming chapter of the franchise. The actress also teased that she is not sure if "Pitch Perfect 3" will be the last installment for the franchise.

Kendrick continued to say filming all "Pitch Perfect" movies have been great and she would have been really stressed if there was not so much love for what they are doing. The actresses of the film are also having some fun outside the setting as the movie cast took a break from doing the third movie earlier this month to attend Sunday's NFC Championship to support the Atlanta Falcons.

The production of the third installment of the movies has not been without setbacks as there was the devastating news that Skylar Astin and the rest of the Trebles would not be returning.

There was also a five months push back of the movie's release date which has made fans really anxious and the movie will not be directed by Elizabeth Banks. According to MovieNewsGuide, insiders claim the major reason for Bank's departure from "Pitch Perfect" is the growing hostility between her and Kendrick.

Digital spy reports that the third chapter of the franchise is bringing back most of its original cast including Rebel Wilson (Fat Amy), Chrissie Fit (Flo), Hailee Steinfeld (Emily), Ester Dean (Cynthia Rose) and Kelly Jakle (Jessica), Hana Mae Lee, Anna Camp, Shelley Regner and Kelley Jakle among others.

The film will be directed by Trish Sie, the co-director of the band's iconic music videos "Here It Goes Again," and "Upside Down & Inside Out."  She was also the director of "Step Up All In," thus, making her very familiar with performance-based franchises. "Pitch Perfect 3" is expected to hit theatres on Dec. 22, 2017.
