Supernatural Season 12 Spoilers: Castiel's Life In Danger from Lily Sunder's Vengeance

The Winchesters would need to work double time in the upcoming episode of Supernatural Season 12 or risk losing their resident angel and honorary brother Castiel from danger. After Dean and Sam are sprung from a government facility after their attempt to kill Lucifer  who was using the president of the United States as a vessel, its now Cas who is at risk from Lily Sunder.

Based on the synopsis released by SpoilerTV, Lily Sunder will immerse herself in black magic to exact revenge on a group of angels responsible for the death of her family. However, Cas seems to be her latest target and its up to the Winchesters to save their friend from becoming victim.

Actress Alicia Witt, who plays the role of Lily said in an interview with Entertainment Weekly that her character has been around for a long time and waiting for the proper opportunity to get even with those who have wronged her and her family.

"You do get to see what happened and you get to see Lily, my character, back in the day. And yes, there is "a lot of angel blade fighting," she promised.

Meanwhile, showrunner Andrew Dabb, in a separate interview with the same publication said that Sam and Dean may be seeing a different future for themselves, especially when it comes to the issue of hunting.

According to Dabb, the question of whether the brothers will continue hunting remains a question even from the early seasons with Dean wanting to fight until he dies. He said that while before, it was not the life that Sam envisioned for himself, he now understands the need to fight to make the world a better place. Still, Dabb said that there will be a part of himself that will want the day to arrive that they would be able to quit hunting because the world is already better.

The episode entitled "Lily Sunder Has Some Regrets" is the 10th episode of the season and will air on The CW on February 2.
