Fans feel Tuesday's episode of "Teen Wolf" felt more like a series finale than a midseason ender but there is a good reason for that as executive producer, Jeff Davis revealed during an interview that they definitely wanted to close the book on the high school chapter of their lives.

Davis told TVLine that the season was all about honoring the character of Stiles as they knew they would not have Dylan O'Brien full-time but they had him even less once his accident occurred. He added that there was a bit of behind-the-scenes trickery there. "I love when a season feels like it is told a full story, a complete story. Every season finale has felt like a series finale to me."

In the midseason finale the team was able to defeat of Mr. Douglas and the Ghost Riders and Stiles returned safe and sound to Beacon Hills, where he reunited with and kissed Lydia. Interestingly, Christopher Argent and Melissa blessed a romantic moment with a kiss. Malia and Peter Hale had their first real moment together as father and daughter.

The episode also revealed that Stilinski and Lydia collaborated to send Claudia back to rest in the land of the dead and the then the senior pack members' celebration for graduating high school. Scott is set to attend UC Davis, Stiles will be attending a pre-FBI program at George Washington University and Lydia will head to MIT as a junior.

However, the executive producer did not reveal how Stiles and Lydia's kiss will affect their moving forward neither did he confirm how much of Dylan O'Brien viewers will see in the second part of the sixth installment of the series. But he did reveal that the couple's final moment all has to do with friendship and romance - where someone finally says "I love you" after it has been boiling up inside for a long time.

Davis, while speaking on the upcoming episodes also revealed that Season 6B jumps ahead a few months and will explore what it means to be an outsider. He explained that it is something new and something old at the same time old with Scott and his park becoming pariahs once again. They will be feared and hunted and it will be very much a season of fear.

He continued to say, during production, their inspiration was H.P. Lovecraft, which means fans are going to be seeing a lot of "dark horror" in the next season, as they have some really disgusting stuff coming up. It has also been reported that there is an interesting future in the upcoming season for the show's newest pair - Argent and Melissa, according to Teenwolfonline.

Davis said, one of their rules in the writers' room is to pass through an unexpected route and even though they have been flirting with the idea of Stilinski and Melissa, putting her with Argent felt unexpected. Then, their relationship started to feel natural, like, they are really good together, but things are going to get ever more awkward in 6B.
