Google Chrome is one of the best browsers and is the most popular with a market share of more than 52% exceeding that of Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Internet Explorer and Apple's Safari combined. Google Chrome V 56 is the latest update for the web browser incorporating some major changes and updates.

Google Chrome for Android received its first major update for 2017 as Chrome 56 and has new features for users and web developers. As reported by Google's official website, Chrome 56 has "Web Bluetooth API", "CSS position: sticky;" and "HTML5 By Default." Apart from some major changes mentioned above, some minor changes have also been incorporated.

The New Tab Page in Chrome 56 has been redesigned and shows recommended articles section, recently downloaded items and saved bookmarks. It also has an added functionality to save a recommended article by just holding down on it, as reported by Android Police.

Google Chrome app with the latest Chrome 56 update can automatically detect email ids, addresses and numbers with the new update. Users can tap on an address or a number to open it with the recommended application. With the new update for Chrome, Android users can try out WebVR in the browser itself and web pages can create immersive 3D environments at high frame rates.

This Google Chrome 56 feature allows web apps on Chrome to communicate with the Bluetooth devices. Once the Bluetooth permissions are granted to Chrome, the websites and the web apps can request access to Bluetooth devices using the GATT protocol. This feature allows users to pay for online items using Android Pay. With Google Chrome 56, the price of the item can be set to "pending."

In Chrome 56 for Android, the HTML5 has been enabled by default for all users offering a safer and more power efficient experience. This change disables Adobe Flash Player and will require user's permission to run Flash.

Developers can match the user's operating system font using "system-u'." Additionally, FLAC support is now enabled in Google Chrome 56. The browser also supports notifications with images in the new Chrome update for Android.
