"Attack on Titan'' last episode was aired last September 2013. The last episode left fans hanging and requesting for a new season. There has been a series of a delayed release for the season 2. Fans are always sniffing for news about an official release date. The wait is over, as FUNIMATION announced that the release date of "Attack on Titan" Season 2 will be on April fool's Day.

Fans should not worry; it is not an April fool's joke.  As reported by IGN, FUNIMATION has revealed the first simulcast date together with a new promotional art for the "Attack on Titan" Season 2 series. Titled "The Titans Are among Us", FUNIMATION said in the post that it would be a "beast of a season".

The show was planned to be released last year, but it was pushed back this year. FUNIMATION released the first official footage after winning the license for simulcasting "Attack on Titan" Season 2. It is not announced yet if an English dub of the anime will be available, but it is highly suggested that it will likely have English dub like the "Attack on Titan" Season 1 and "Attack on Titan" Junior High.

A new key art for "Attack on Titan" Season 2 was released together with the announcement. The promotional poster includes the usual gang with a new scary face that has not been named yet. Why are Reiner and Bertolt's faces seemingly highlighted together with Ymir's? That is something that will be revealed soon.

If the anime were to follow the Attack on Titan manga, fans should get ready for the official ending, as the manga material has only about 16 volumes left. With a number of materials inside the season 1, season 2 can fit what was left in the manga. Can humans beat the titans and be free from being exiled?
