'The Walking Dead Season 7 Spoilers: Does Oceanside Have Information To Win War Against Negan?

When "The Walking Dead" Season 7 returns for its midseason premiere, Rick is expected to lead the mutiny of Alexandria, The Kingdom and the Hilltop Colony against Negan and his Saviors. However, it would seem that another community may join their ranks as the Oceanside women have their own bone to pick with Negan's group.

According to a report by Entertainment Weekly, Oceanside may have a secret connection with Alexandria that is yet to be revealed. According to showrunner Scott M. Gimple, moving up the community's appearance in the series compared to its graphic novel counterpart may be a strategic move to get them involved in the brewing rebellion.

In his interview with the publication, Gimple shared that the Oceanside people could prove to be crucial in winning Rick's war against Negan. He said that the Oceanside's first appearance in the first half of the season will reveal connections in "The Walking Dead" Season 7B much like what the show did in the first and second halves of Season 4.

"There's definitely unfinished business there. And the information that Oceanside - and what it possesses - would be a very big deal to Rick," he said.

It can be recalled that in the "The Walking Dead" Episode 6 entitled "Swear", Tara woke up to a community of women who have chosen to live in seclusion in their community near the ocean. In the comic books, the community appears after the war against Negan but seems to have been bumped up in the television series to connect with other storylines.

Meanwhile, TV.com has posted the synopsis for "The Walking Dead" Episode 9 which is titled "Rock on the Road."

Based on the synopsis, Rick and his group are introduced to a new community and its ruler and they will find a familiar face in the new place. It is expected that Rick will finally be introduced to King Ezekiel and his Kingdom and that the familiar face could belong to Morgan.

"The Walking Dead" Season 7B returns to AMC on February 12.
