Nintendo Switch Update: Cancel Pre-Order? Tatsumi Kimishima Provides Details On New Console

It just few weeks before Nintendo Switch is released with various companies still open for pre-orders for the Japanese gaming company's latest console. Although the game lineup for the console has already been disclosed, a new update reveals that fans should cancel their pre-orders and wait for a few months.

However, the Nintendo Switch pre-orders are underway for several companies whereas some other companies have already closed pre-orders from customers. But even though it is only a few months before the release of the console in the market, a recent report from iDigitalTimes suggests that it would be better for fans to wait for a few more months before getting the console.

The publication state that many players are only interested in getting the Nintendo Switch on time because it will also be launched with the "Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild." But, the publication reveals that the game could also be played on Wii U.

In addition, the publication reveals that other games included in the lineup of the Nintendo Switch will not be released now as most of them are still a couple of months away like the "Mario Kart 8 Deluxe" and "Splatoon 2." The publication also suggests that there is a possibility that the $299 cost of the console per unit would probably undergo a price drop depending on the level of its demand among players.

However, according to the reports, since there are still a lot of unanswered questions around the Nintendo Switch and its highly-anticipated features, it may be preferable to wait for a few more months before purchasing one. It stresses that If Nintendo is yet to provide answers now, then it is probably due to the fact that they do not have a firm one to share. That is precisely the reason why Nintendo Switch online play will be free until the fall of this year.  

The publication added that it is a great risk if the developer has not yet figured out every aspect of its own system's launch, and also a half to plop money down on a product before knowing the truth. Fans should not believe that a product will fulfill every promise until and unless they see it in action. Furthermore, Express reports that the president of Nintendo, Tatsumi Kimishima recently revealed some update on Nintendo Switch.

According to the reports, Kimishima addressed the concerns that the Nintendo Switch might also face similar shortage issues as the Nintendo Classic Mini NES that was launched back in November. He noted that the developer is working actively towards producing enough units so as to meet its plan to deliver two million units upon launch in March.
