Drake’s ‘Hotline Bling’ Wins Grammy For The Best Rap Song

Drake the Canadian rapper, singer and a song writer makes his way through the Grammy yet again with his unique style of composing rape songs. The singer was awarded for the Best Rap Song and Best Rap/Sung performance at the Grammy Awards this year for one of his most popular rap number "Hotline Blink".

According to The Star, the rapper/ singer was not present among the audience for the Grammy Awards which were held in Los Angeles as he is on a tour to U.K. and had a show at Manchester. Winning the Grammy Awards in 2011 for his album "Take Care", this year yet again a win has brought light to Drake's Career.

Drake's producer, Paul Jefferies, who works under his professional name "Nineteen85", came up to the stage to receive the award on behalf of Drake. He also spoke about Drake's upcoming songs which are likely to be released soon. Paul also expressed his gratitude on behalf of the team More Life, reported Metro.

Bernie Herms, who is a Canadian song writer, was also an early winner at the pre-telecast ceremony of Grammy Awards. Hillary Scott and the Scott family also received the award for the Christian music performance of the song "Thy will".

Scott, who is one of the singers from the band Lady Antebellum, had won the Best contemporary Christian music album for "Love remains" featuring Herm's song. The Canadian drummer from Toronto Larnelle Lewis, who drums for a Jazz instrumental band "Snarky Puppy", was the second to win a Grammy for best Contemporary Instrumental Album in the pre-telecast ceremony.    

 One of Grammy nominee Judy Collins, a folk singer performed for the award ceremony which felt similar to Cohen's Music and was performed in remembrance of him. Drake was also considered for Rihanna's smash hit "Work" due to his vocal contribution to the song.
