It has been a good six years since Daniel Radcliffe waved his wand onscreen as Harry Potter. With the recent success of the spinoff title "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" and the upcoming play "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child", Radcliffe's position for the character has been looked into.

In an interview with Good Morning Britain, the star had reflected on his career, with a big chunk of it playing as the titular "Harry Potter" based on books by J.K. Rowling. According to Comic Book, while the actor has denied the role as Potter on Broadway, he is not closing the doors for a movie release. As Radcliffe puts it, if the idea became more than theoretical, he would think about it.

And a film adaptation of "The Cursed Child" is not far from reality, as it will be the logical route for the continuation of the "Harry Potter" franchise. According to Culturess, Warner Bros. has already filed the patents for the title "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child", which solidifies its box office possibility.

Currently, the Wizarding World is being explored deeper by the "Fantastic Beasts" franchise. Set several decades before the events of the "Harry Potter" series, it looks into the adventure of British wizard and magizoologist Newt Scamander, played by Eddie Redmayne.

The five-part franchise also promises to look into some stories briefly touched on the "Harry Potter" stories, namely that of Gellert Grindelwald. The previous great dark wizard before Voldemort's time, Grindelwald's actions would be further seen in the series, with the clash between him and Albus Dumbledore becoming the highlight of the final film.

"Harry Potter and the Cursed Child" was seen on London's West End Palace Theatre in 2016, though was met with mixed reviews. Many publications gave the stage play four to five stars, with praises to Anthony Boyle as his portrayal of Scorpius Malfoy. Fans of the original series gave a mostly negative response, pointing at the diverging of the established rules of the series.
