"The Vampire Diaries" catapulted Nina Dobrev to fame. The actress has the same positive influence on the show. In fact, the rating of "TVD" went spiral down when Dobrev left. Good news because she's back and the finale teaser of "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 features her big comeback.

"TVD" fans were initially torn whether Nina Dobrev will return or not in the series. Julie Plec, on the other hand, was determined to bring the star back in the finale and she's successful because we are seeing Dobrev's Elena in the finale teaser.

"I'm thrilled to bring this show to an end the way we always intended - with Nina back to help us say goodbye," Plec told E! News. "I'm so excited to have Nina back to ensure our farewell episode is truly epic!"

So how will Nina Dobrev's character come back to life in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8? Per Yahoo!, Bonnie (Kat Graham) accidentally opened the door of hell when Enzo (Michael Malarkey) died. Chris Wood's Kai slipped through the said door.

Alaric (Matt Davis) and Damon (Ian Somerhalder) are thinking of ways to defeat Cade. Damon thought that Cade's dagger might kill him. However, Kai interrupted by suggesting another idea.

"What if I brought back Elena?" Kai offered. Damon wants the former to fulfill that immediately but "TVD" fans know that things are not that easy to happen. There are always exchanges of favor. At the time, Kai's suggestion is the only way to secure himself from Alaric's wrath, whose fiancé was killed at the altar when Kai was around.

It is difficult to trust Kai. However, whether he is behind Elena's return or not, one thing is certain, Nina Dobrev is back in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8. The actress is as excited as the "TVD" fans in her return.

On her Instagram account, Dobrev admits that coming back to the finale gives her a whirlwind of emotion. Check out her post below.

Dearest TVD family, It feels like it was just yesterday that I was saying goodbye. And yet two years have passed and here we are again. This is my true final goodbye, as today I shot my last scene of the Vampire Diaries forever. Coming back for the series finale has been a whirlwind of emotion, nostalgia, love, tears of joy and bittersweet endings. It feels like the beautiful closure we all needed, myself included, and I couldn't have been happier to come home to be with my TVD set family and friends. I feel the fans family will also be happy with the show's conclusion when they tune in to watch the last episode air in a few short weeks. From the bottom of my heart, I send you my biggest thanks for the countless years of implicit dedication, passion, support, and undying love from all the fans that have stuck with us on this truly amazing and beautiful journey. As this last chapter ends, we welcome and look forward to going on to the next adventure and hope that you continue to follow us as our new journeys begin. I grew up on this show and am eternally grateful for all the opportunities it has given me, and so thankful for each and every person who worked on The Vampire Diaries over the last 8 years. We are all pieces of a big puzzle and without every truly amazing cast and crew member, this magical puzzle would not be complete. Thank you for all your hard work, friendship and love. You have touched my heart in ways you will never know. Sending looch smooches, Love, Katherine, Amara, Tatia, and of course, Elena Gilbert. #TVDforever #FangsForTheMemories Ps. I had these custom engraved TVD #Forever keys made as crew gifts for my beloved TVD a family. @thegivingkeys is an amazing company that sells products to provide jobs.
