"Hunter X Hunter" is so full of breaks and late releases that fans gave it a moniker name "Hiatus X Hiatus". The last manga update was Chapter 360 "Parasite" which was serialized July last year. Fans are waiting for the next chapter and there are times that the series will never be continued.  But the wait might be over this February as the manga artist of HxH is given a deadline at the end of this month.

It is a known fact that manga artist Yoshishiro Togashi has suffered injury in the past which limits his ability to do manga work.  According to Racing Jungky, Weekly Shonen Jump gives Togashi until the end of February 2017 to finish or even update his work. If "Hunter X Hunter" will not be updated, then the publication will hire new manga artists to work on the next "Hunter X Hunter" chapters.

Ishida Sui, Tokyo Ghoul's mangaka, is one of the best options to hire if ever Togashi cannot finish his work. Last year, he tweeted Hisoka's sketch that he made and it garnered positive feedbacks. But it is unlikely that Sui will be on the "Hunter X hunter" train because the third season of "Tokyo Ghoul" is just around the corner. It would be a lot of work to make the manga move to fill the anime train.

Another candidate is no other than Togashi's wife, Naoko Takeuchi. As seen on My Anime List, Takeuchi is also a mangaka known for her work on "Sailormoon". It is plausible that she will finish the work that her husband started. They can also collaborate together to make things done, a more favorable setup for both of them. It is also a possibility that they will work on "Hunter X Hunter" chapters to meet the deadline.

"Hunter X Hunter" was (and still) put in hiatus many times. Those stops and delays were caused by Togashi's health and back pain problems.
