A former member of the Fifth Harmony, Camila Cabello, talks about her solo life as a singer after retreating from the band. The singer released a statement regarding the issue. Camila said to her former bandmates, "I'll continue to wish them all the best, and I'm happy they are continuing their journey as Fifth Harmony. I'm also looking forward to hearing new music from the group and their solo endeavors."

According to E! Online, Fifth Harmony was formed during the season 2 of The X Factor in 2012. Ranked as third on the show, it didn't stop the band to have a record deal in 2013and later released two hit-filled albums. The first one was called Reflection released in 2015 and the recent 7/27 on 2016.

In a long message posted on Instagram, the former band member stated that she was more than grateful to be part of the band with the other talented girls, and will always be proud of being part of it. However, the 19-year-old decided to part ways with her bandmates last year.  It's not unusual in this industry, though, for one member of a group to decide on a solo career. It's somewhat difficult to thrive in a collective group. Even Beyonce parted ways with Destiny's Child during her days. But the band's fans didn't seem happy about the decision from Cabello's camp.

The singer had an interview with Billboard magazine and revealed that she is ready to start her career on her own. Cabello stated that her former group Fifth Harmony were in the peak of their career. On the other hand, she does not want to settle for less.

"The way my mom raised me, it has always been: Don't settle. Jump and hope you grow wings on the way down. I feel alive!" Cabello happily mentioned.  Even though both sides seem to have misunderstandings, Cabello was still proud, not just about her own achievements so far, but also to her past bandmates.
