The "Star Wars" Han Solo movie doesn't have an official title yet, but its release date has been revealed to be on May 25, 2018. For many months, only Alden Ehrenreich was confirmed for the cast. Recently, new cast photos surfaced revealing a star-studded cast and the other characters for the Han Solo spin-off.

Production for the 2018 "Star Wars" Han Solo movie has already started. The movie's official website has just released the cast photo and it involves actors Woody Harrelson, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, "Game of Thrones" actress Emilia Clarke, Joonas Suotamo as Chewbacca, and Donald Glover. Directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller also posed with the stars in the Millenium Falcon.

The "Star Wars" Han Solo movie plot revolves around the young Han Solo (Alden Ehrenreich) and his partner Chewbacca and their adventures with Lando Calrissian (Donald Grover). According to Wired, the story will take place before "Star Wars: A New Hope", so fans will not be seeing either Luke or Leia. The story isn't a reboot. Like "Rogue One", it's more of a prequel standalone side story.

Lucasfilm has yet to reveal every casting tidbit about the "Star Wars" Han Solo film. "Westworld" Actress Thandie Newton is also expected to appear in this movie, but her role has not been revealed yet. Harrelson will reportedly be Han Solo's mentor, but there has been no revelation yet about the rest of the cast's roles.

Collider revealed that the film's production has a star-studded cast and crew. The "Star Wars" Han Solo movie script is written by Lawrence and Jon Kasdan. Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy is handling the film as the producer, together with veterans Allison Shearmur, Simon Emanuel, Kiri Hart, Susan Towner, and Will Allegra. Their executive producers are Lawrence Kasdan and Jason McGatlin.

Fans will be glad to know that handling the production design is Neil Lamont, who also worked on "Rogue One". Given that Han Solo has always been an iconic character, his "Star Wars" Han Solo movie has a lot of pressure and expectations riding on its shoulders. Fans will have to wait for May 25, 2018 to see whether those hopes will be fulfilled.
