Production of ‘Aquaman’ Movie To Start Soon; Jason Momoa Dubs Film As Fun, Cool

The "Aquaman" movie for 2018 seems to be one of the superhero films that can help break DC's streak of bad, gloomy movies. There has been a lot of positive buzz around this film, which revolves around the King of Atlantis. Jason Momoa, who plays the main character, has a lot of good things to say about the script and production, which will start soon once casting is complete.

Although a lot of problems have surrounded the DC films, its movies have done well in its casting: Henry Cavill as Superman, Ben Affleck as Batman, Gal Gadot as Wonderman, and now Jason Momoa as Aquaman. The Hawaiian-born actor has starred in "Game of Thrones" as Khal Drogo and the "Conan the Barbarian" reboot as the titular character. Now, he's set to star in the heavily anticipated "Aquaman" movie in the DCEU.

Talking to Digital Trends, Momoa revealed something about the "Aquaman" movie script when he was asked about having an Aquaman game. Momoa said that the script was fun and that it would take the audience to a magical world that has never been done before. He went on to say that so many movies explore space and other terrains, but rarely do they dive into the depths below.

"It has a lot of really cool adventure, it's funny and heroic, and there's a lot of different characters and a lot of different worlds that we get to go to," Momoa said. It also turns out that his role in "Game of Thrones" prepared him for his role in "Justice League" and the "Aquaman" movie. That's no surprise since director Zack Snyder is a huge fan of the HBO fantasy series.

The superhero Aquaman was first introduced in 1941. He was a break from the many superheroes who could fly or leap tall buildings. According to Comicbook, Momoa had to do a lot of work to make the hero look cool again, after so many parodies have made fun of him talking to fish. Fans are hoping that Momoa will shine in his stand-alone "Aquaman" movie in Oct. 5, 2018.
