Niantic, Inc. creator "Pokemon GO" recently released a new update for the game and it is a major one. The San Francisco-based software developer gave players over 80 new Pokemon to catch. On top of that, there are two new berries and a bunch of other novel features. But the best thing about the update is the Pokemon Tyranitar.

In the official "Pokemon GO" website, Niantic noted that all of the latest additional Pokemon can be captured in the Johto Region. Furthermore, the new Pokemon coming from "Gold", "Silver" and "Crystal" will include Tyranitar, according to Cinema Blend. Additionally, 86 new Pokemon skills are added to the 0.57.2 version for Android and the 1.27.2 version for iOS gadgets. And luckily for Apple Watch users, the update makes the game more stable for their device too.

Aside from Tyranitar, other Pokemon like Blissey, Heracross, Espeon, Scizor, Donphan, Ampharos, Ursaring and Porygon 2 will make an appearance in the "Pokemon GO" Gen 2 update. But Tyranitar is the most anticipated one. RankedBoost listed the Dark/Rock type Pokemon as the number one gym attacker. Meanwhile, Blissey, a Normal type, is the best Pokemon to defend a gym.

The latest additions also come in two genders: male and female. Players can also choose between a male and a female Tyranitar. Niantic also added new items that assist Pokemon in their evolution. To acquire them, "Pokemon GO" players have to go to PokeStops and try their luck by spinning the discs. By doing so, they could have items for evolution like Dragon Scale, Metal Coat, Upgrade, King's Rock and Sun Stone. So far, there is no news whether Tyranitar can be evolved from Pupitar or from Tyranitar to Mega Tyranitar using one of the new evolutionary items. The confirmed Pokemon who do are Seadra, Poliwhirl, Slowpoke, Scyther, Onix, Gloom, Sunkern and Polygon.
