"Pretty Little Liars" is finally going to end after Season 7, but fans of the show might get to see some characters once again in the new "Pretty Little Liars" spin-off. Creator I. Marlene King is planning to adapt another book, "The Perfectionists," and it is rumored to be set in the same "Pretty Little Liars" universe.

There are only ten more episodes left for fans to watch before they can see the "Pretty Little Liars" spin-off. The show's creator I. Marlene King will be handling the upcoming Freeform series "Famous in Love", but she also revealed on Twitter that she will be adapting into the small screen "The Perfectionists," which is also written by "Pretty Little Liars" series author, Sara Shepard.

According to Refinery 29, the thriller revolves around five high school students who bond over their mutual hatred for the jerk Nolan. Eagle-eyed fans saw that two "The Perfectionists" characters will appear during the last "Pretty Little Liars" episode in the show's IMDb page: Ava and Claire. This could mean that the "Pretty Little Liars" spin-off will be set in the same universe and that fans will see returning characters in the spin-off sequel.

King posted the news on Twitter. "But I will be adding a twist on a twist," she said. The novel is already a thriller, so there's a big chance that the twist could mean that original characters will appear in the "Pretty Little Liars" spin-off universe. King also teased that there will be some surprises in the new show that fans of the original "Pretty Little Liars" will love.

According to Capital FM, this surprise could be the return of fan-favorite couple Emily (Shay Mitchell) and Alison (Sasha Pieterse). Emison fans could not contain their excitement on social media at the possibility of seeing the pair in the "Pretty Little Liars" spin-off. It has been rumored that, in the sequel, Emily and Alison will be teaching at Beacon Heights, Washington, where "The Perfectionists" takes place.

Although the showrunner and producers have not confirmed that last bit yet, viewers are hopeful it will come true. The next half of the show's Season 7 will return on April 18, 2017 with ten more episodes. The season finale will be titled "Till Death Do Us Part", and fans will be able to see which characters are likely to appear in the "Pretty Little Liars" spin-off.
