The new MacBook Pro was released in October 2016 with a touch bar. Apple is preparing a new MacBook pro and the 2017 model will come with update specs, design and new features.

MacBook Pro 2017 is expected to come in 13-inch and 15-inch sizes. The chassis will be thinner, lighter and smaller than the previous generation models possibly through a new thermal architecture. The touch bar with contextual controls will make its way in the new MacBook Pro 2017.

The new MacBook Pro 2017 will feature Intel's KabyLake processors, up to 2TB storage and with RAM options up to 2GB. However, according to the report on MacWorld, the 32GB version might not ship until 2018.

The MacBook Pro 2017 will be Apple's first laptop to feature up to 32GB RAM. Currently, only the Dell Precision features an optional 32GB RAM update. The MacBook Pro 2016 equipped with Intel's Skylake processor supported only up to 16GB RAM because of the limitations of the processor. Since MacBook Pro is widely used for professional work like image and video editing, the users demanded a 32GB version.

KabyLake processors were announced in Q4 2016 but these were not available in the MacBook Pro because of compatibility issues. Therefore, the compatible processors were announced only at CES 2017.

The new version of Mac OS, Mac OS Sierra 10.12.4 contains a Beta code which provides references to different MacBook configurations with KabyLake processors. These new KabyLake processors will offer better power efficiency and upgraded GPU with a very little increase in procession power, reported Forbes.

The new MacBook Pro 2017 will be available in different configurations. The 13-inch MacBook Pro 2017 will have a Core i7-7660U chip at 2.5 GHz. The 13-inch MacBook Pro 2017 with touch bar might have Core i5-7267U at 3.1 GHz, a Core i5-7287U running at 3.3 GHz and a Core i7-7567U processor operating at 3.5 GHz. The 15-inch MacBook Pro 2017 will have an option of Core i7-7700HQ at 2.8 GHz, Core i7-7280HQ at 2.9 GHz and the high-performance Core i7-7920 running at 3.1 GHz.

The MacBook Pro 2017 will offer better battery life and might be released in October 2017 with prices similar to the current generation MacBook Pro. However, Apple will stick with the same port configurations as the current MacBook lineup.
