The rumor mill continues to reveal the upcoming in-house processor called "Pinecone" by Chinese smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi. Now, the company teased the world again with its SoC line after releasing the second trailer to the hype for its release on Tuesday.

The latest teaser is published by Xiaomi on its Youtube account under the handle Xiaomi Today. The 1-minute video shows a Rubik's Cube champion solving the said cube underwater in just 18 seconds. According to reports, the teaser trailer may suggest what will be expected at the Pinecone processors' capabilities.

Xiaomi is busy promoting its upcoming "Pinecone" processor without revealing much of the chipset's key specs and hardware. Earlier, the Chinese company has already revealed its first teaser video featuring Wang Feng, a Chinese mnemonist, who is two-time winner of the World Memory Championships.

In the video, Feng is basically displaying his enormous ability to memorize a different set of numbers in that impossible memory challenge. Similar to the second trailer, the initial video also hinted the processor's feature in terms of memory power.

On another note, Xiaomi is rumored to announce two Pinecone SoCs in its release party, which are the V670 and V790 processors.

According to NDTV, the V670 will be an octa-core processor with "four high-frequency Cortex-A53 cores, and four Cortex-A53 low-powered cores" and an ARM Mali-T860 MP2 GPU. This mobile chipset is tipped to be made on a 28nm process with a thinner build.

Apart from the Pinecone V670 processor, the company will also reveal its high-end SoC, the Pinecone V790 processor. The Pinecone V970 SoC will allegedly be built by Samsung on a 10nm process, WCCFTech reported. It will be armed with four Cortex-A73 cores and four Cortex-A53 cores paired with a Mali G71 MP12 GPU.

If the rumors are to be believed, the Xiaomi Mi 5c smartphone upon release may be seen running the Pinecone processor, making it the first smartphone to be debut the said mobile chipset.

Xiaomi's Pinecone processors are expected to be produced by Beijing Pinecone Electronics, a company Xiaomi paid approximately $15 million to acquire mobile processor technologies from Datang subsidiary Leadcore Technology Ltd.
