‘Boruto: Naruto Next Generations’ Update: Staff, Cast, Premiere Date Unveiled

The official website of upcoming anime "Boruto: Naruto Next Generations" has been updated. The lists of the production staff and the cast of voice actors have been put up. A new visual has also been posted together with the premiere date. The "Naruto" spin-off will start airing in Japan on Apr. 5, 2017.

TV Tokyo will be the home for "Boruto: Naruto Next Generations". Pierrot will work on the animation, with Noriyuki Abe confirmed as the spin-off title's general director, Crunchyroll wrote. Meanwhile, Hiroyuki Yamashita will work on the anime as its series director. Joining him are Ukyo Kodachi and Makoto Uezo who will be in charge of the series composition. As for the character design, the work is divided between Tetsuya Nishio and Hirofumi Suzuki. Lastly, the ones in charge for musical scores will be Yasuharu Takanashi and Yaiba.

The voices for the main characters of "Boruto: Naruto Next Generations" are also up on the anime's official website. Naruto Uzumaki and Hinata Hyuuga's son will be voiced by Yuuko Sanpei. Meanwhile, the offspring of Sasuke Uchiha and Sakura Haruno, Sarada, will be given life to by Kokoro Kikuchi. Additionally, Orochimaru's synthetically-made child, Mitsuki, will be voiced by Ryuji Kijima.

Although it is a spin-off based on big titles with a large fan base, many "Naruto" loyalists have doubts with regard to "Boruto: Naruto Next Generations". They fear that it will not live up to expectations and be as great as its predecessors, according to Comic Book. However, Noriyuki Abe assured fans that the new anime will not disappoint. In fact, he declared that he will not betray "Naruto" fans as he is one himself.

Nevertheless, Abe admitted that the job is a difficult one. Still, it will be worth all the effort as everyone in the staff is working hard to make "Boruto: Naruto Next Generations" a great series.
