The beastly "Killing Bites" manga series illustrated by Kazuasa Sumida and written by Shinya Murata is officially getting an anime adaptation. Japanese publishing company Shogakukan announced the news on the April issue of "Monthly Hero's" released on Wednesday.

Shogakukan has even put up an official website dedicated to the "Killing Bites" anime as well as a Twitter account. According to Anime News Network, Japanese shopping site 7net previewed the cover of the April edition of "Monthly Hero's" that had the announcement on its cover. However, the magazine's website itself uploaded a cover that did not have the text regarding the anime adaptation on the cover. But after Wednesday, the "Monthly Hero's" website updated the image to reflect the announcement.

Crunchyroll related that there is no information yet as to who will join the "Killing Bites" anime cast. However, there is a possibility that Sora Amamiya will be one of them as she had previously voiced the main character Hitomi in the audio drama. Fans of the series can get this audio drama if they purchase the 4th tankobon or volume of the manga.

Meanwhile, the English version of the "Monthly Hero'" website released a summary of the "Killing Bites" anime. It is described as an anime that will showcase battles between half-human, half-animal creatures in the underworld. There is one among them who will fight in the underbelly filled with terror and craziness. The summary also promises future viewers that the beast battles will be shocking.

Also, after the official announcement of the "Killing Bites" anime, Sumida celebrated by sharing some artwork of Hitomi Uzaki on Twitter. Murata as well took to Twitter to post a message regarding the news.

"Killing Bites" the manga made its first appearance in the January 2014 issue of "Monthly Hero's." It has been serialized monthly since then and is even releasing its 7th volume on Mar. 4.
