Nintendo Switch is winning gamers' hearts right and left since its release Friday last week. In fact, the new gaming console from the video game company is already out of stock at one retailer.

GameStop is one of the many retailers that offered Nintendo Switch for purchase to walk-in customers, GameSpot said. The launch at the retailer's stores all across the country was very successful, according to Eric Bright, Senior Director of Merchandising at GameStop. He also added that people started lining up for the console on Thursday night at different branches all over the country.

Unfortunately for many fans, though, GameStop immediately ran out of Nintendo Switch stock. However, Bright did promise that they are ordering more units to meet the high demand.

Meanwhile, gaming aficionados are weighing in on the Nintendo Switch. Patrick Holland at CNET professes that the console fully had his attention after just 20 minutes of game time. According to him, the best things about the hybrid console are the gameplay, accessibility and its socialization factor.

Furthermore, Nintendo Switch is successful in being a home gaming console and a handheld gaming device. Its versatility will make it appealing to a wide range of ages from children to adults. And switching between the two modes is also fun!

Additionally, the Nintendo Switch brims with the Nintendo personality. Its buttons and controls look small at first, but in time, the player becomes comfortable with them. Moreover, it is great for playing games alone or for having fun with other people.

And when it comes game titles, "Legends of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" and "Mario Kart 8 Deluxe" are available for Nintendo Switch. Still, some fans are hoping that the nostalgic Mini NES games would be reimagined for the new console.

Nintendo Switch is the hybrid successor to the Wii U. It sold only 13 million units unlike its predecessor, the Wii, which sold 100 million.
