'Game Of Thrones' Season 7 Release Date Confirmed; To Come On July According To Sir Davos

It seems that it was not only Sophie Turner playing the role of Sansa Stark who slipped out a huge spoiler to "Game of Thrones" Season 7. One actor has revealed that the premiere date of the much awaited season has already been set. While all GOT fans are getting impatient of waiting for the arrival of the upcoming season, the latest news about the premier date of the HBO series' penultimate season would keep them hang back agonizingly for several more days.

According to IGN, every season of "Game of Thrones" premiered in early April. However, this year, the release date has been pushed back several times. "Game of Thrones" Season 7 will be showed on winter as it must complement the weather. Producers wanted to film in "some grim, gray weather," because in "Game of Thrones" Season 7, winter has finally come. Executive producers David Benioff and Dan Weiss wanted to shoot in a snowier production which also means delayed shooting schedule and release date.

HBO has been secretive about revealing the premiere dates of "Game of Thrones" seasons. However, exactly when the "Game of Thrones" Season 7 will premiere is confirmed by one of the actors of the series. Liam Cunningham as Ser Davos unveiled that the "Game of Thrones" season 7 will be aired in July.

"I've been disappointing various people around the world because it was meant to come out in April," Cunningham said. "It's July now, I think. There's going to be a launch and something special happening this year for the premiere."

As reported by Independent, Cunningham also uncovered that the show would wrap up with two -but more epic-packed- shorter seasons. "Game of Thrones" Season 7 will be reduced down to seven episodes compared to the previous seasons with 10 episodes. Season 8 which will probably start filming in September and will only have six episodes.

Though the Showrunners remained silent about how the season will end, HBO has recently released a very brief teaser featuring Jon Snow, Sansa, and Arya. With the several revelations from the previous season, rumors are spreading that the two major stars, Emilia Clarke and Kit Harington have been spotted shooting first ever scenes together. This raises several theories about what is there to expect about the upcoming season. Maisie Williams as Arya Stark also claimed that "Game of Thrones" Season 7 will end on a "huge cliffhanger".
