Ed Sheeran's new album 'Divide' is out now and it looks like he is going to break records. It is proving to be a hit among critic and his fans. The market number speak for the record-breaking album.

'Divide' is the third album by Ed Sheeran and has already broken records since its launch last Friday. The record sold over 4,32,000 copies in just three days outselling the entire UK Top 100 by more than two times.

The new album by Ed Sheeran might beat Adele's album sales figures as the artist himself revealed that she is the 'benchmark' for the type of success he wants to achieve in life. Ed hopes to beat Adele one day and it seems his new album might beat the pop princess Adele by the end of this week.

Ed Sheeran's new album 'Divide' lists 16 tracks with some major hits like - 'Shape Of You', 'Castle On The Hill', 'Galway Girl' and 'Perfect'. He is on course to have three albums to be in the top five albums list. The album has also smashed the record for the most-streamed album in a single day in Spotify, reported BBC.

Billboard has recognised 'Divide' with unique superlative for each track in the album. Some of them include - Most likely to become a wedding song: 'Perfect', Best guitar solo: 'How Would You Feel (Paean)', Most visual storytelling: 'Galway Girl', Most heart-breaking track: 'Happier' and Most beautiful melody: 'Supermarket Flowers' etc.

Divide by Ed Sheeran has helped him to become the artist with the most number of play of his entire catalogue in a single day. The star's new album racked up 68.7 million plays on Friday which is more than the last record set at 40.3 million plays by The Weeknd, reported Forbes.

All these records prove that 'Divide' by Ed Sheeran is on track to become one of the best music albums of all time. It has already received a grand opening and will probably break more records in the coming days. 'Divide' also has a deluxe LP version which includes four bonus tracks.
