Ever since Apple released its 12-inch MacBook Pro version in 2016, Apple consumer-oriented keeps on wondering if there would really be a significant change in MacBook Pro 2017, specifically in terms of specs, features and design. Coined recently as the "most significantly redesigned product of 2017," the much-awaited MacBook Pro 2017 version may reportedly provide the needed improvements of those who were unsatisfied from Apple's 2016 offering.

The updated MacBook Pro, which was released in October 2016, received mixed reviews from critics due to its expensive parts, usage of 6th generation Skylake Intel Core i-series processor and low random memory access, with a threshold of only 16GB, Tech Radar reported. Due to the criticisms Apple received from the general public, the well-connected analyst of KGI Securities, Ming-Chi Kuo, hinted that the upcoming MacBook Pro 2017 will be equipped with a Kaby Lake processor that could extend the devices' RAM limitation to 32 GB.

It can be remembered that the popular analyst initially predicted that MacBook Pro 2017 will sport Cannonlake chips or Coffee Lake processors; however, based on Intel's roadmap, both these chips are not scheduled to be released until 2018. With this, it is more feasible that the upcoming Apple laptop will adopt Intel's Kaby Lake processors.

Meanwhile, according to iMotor Times, a Kaby Lake processor inside the MacBook Pro 2017 may mean that an increased speed performance and a more battery efficient device should be expected this year. Aside from longer battery life, the refreshed MacBook device will reportedly available in bigger and sharper screens, and will feature a new USB Type-C port that supports Thunderbolt 3.

In terms of MacBook Pro 2017 release date, no specific unveiling date was announced yet; however, rumor has it that Apple may begin its mass production in Q2 2017. No clear details about the devices' debut price, but it is said that Apple may reduce its 2016 MacBook Pro once the new version will be launched.
