Microsoft had designed and developed several windows phones but their market presence was limited. Microsoft Surface Phone is one of the highly anticipated devices from the company and it might be launched soon.

Microsoft has had limited success in the mobile market and only a handful of devices were released by the tech giant. Currently dominated by Google and Apple, Microsoft wants to be one of the leading tech giants in the mobile market. Microsoft Surface Phone will help the company feel its presence in the mobile market.

Microsoft Surface Phone is the best bet from Microsoft that will be feature-rich and powerful enough to go head to head with the offerings from Apple and Google. The products and offerings from these two companies have dominated the market eliminating small players like BlackBerry.

The Surface series from Microsoft has created a buzz in the PC industry. Surface Pro, Surface Studio and Surface Book are the offerings in the Surface series from Microsoft. These devices are meant for the high-end PC market that could dethrone Apple, reported Trusted Reviews.

The specifications of Microsoft Surface Phone have not been made official but the device is expected to come loaded with features and top notch hardware. Microsoft Surface Phone is rumoured to launch in three variants with the high-end variant flaunting Snapdragon 835 chip and a 5.7-inch display, reported Express. The three variants might come in three different screen sizes.

Microsoft Surface Phone will come with different storage and RAM options - 32GB storage with 3GB RAM, 128GB storage with 6GB RAM and lastly 500GB storage with 8GB RAM. The smartphone will be powered by Windows 10 designed for Qualcomm's ARM-based SoCs.

The Microsoft Surface Phone is said to be equipped with a Quad HD display, a USB Type-C port and a 23MP rear camera with Carl Zeiss lens. The upcoming smartphone will be able to run EC-like environment with the ability to add an external keyboard and mouse.
