Susan Sarandon continues to focus on her TV projects as she joins "Ray Donovan" Season 5 for a recurring role. She plays one of the tough women professionals in the series.

Sarandon has signed on for multiple episodes for the whole season, according to Variety. The Oscar-winning actress plays as Samantha Willow in "Ray Donovan" Season 5. The character is the head of a motion picture studio. Character descriptions for Sarandon's role suggest she is someone people do not want to mess with. She is a tough woman who is strong and focused on her career.

It is likely that Sarandon's Willow meets with L.A's top fixer Ray Donovan, played by Liv Schreiber. Given that she manages a movie studio, she may one day ask for his help with one of her talents. After all, Donovan is famous in the city for his knack of fixing celebrities' complicated situations.

More details about Sarandon's role in "Ray Donovan" Season 5 remain under wraps. There is no word yet on when she debuts her character. Regardless, the show's official Twitter page has also confirmed her addition to the casts.

"We're thrilled to announce that Oscar-winner Susan Sarandon will join the cast of Ray Donovan this season," read the tweet, to which the actress replied with "I'm thrilled too." Schreiber also expressed his excitement to work with the veteran actress in "Ray Donovan" Season 5 on his Twitter. "So excited about this!" he wrote.

Aside from her appearance in "Ray Donovan" Season 5, Sarandon has also been busy with another TV show. Fans can also see her in FX channel's "Feud: Bette and Joan," according to Deadline. She plays Bette Davis opposite Jessica Lange's Joan Crawford.

"Ray Donovan" Season 5 returns to Showtime this summer. Sarandon joins veteran actor Jon Voight, who plays as Ray's ex-con father Mickey Donovan.
