After his last film "Silence" failed commercially at the box office in 2016, Martin Scorsese's next project is on its way and this time he is teaming up with Academy Award winner Leonardo DiCaprio. The director has turned all his attention towards the film's production that will be initiated soon. Both Scorsese and DiCaprio are committing to the Paramount production.

The film is titled as "The Devil in the White City: Murder, Magic, and Madness at the Fair that Changed America". Being an adaptation of Erik Larson's book, Leonardo had already purchased the film rights to the book previously in 2010. The film seems to be finally under development. According to Indie Wire, Scorsese revealed that there is a script that they are working on. The script is an extraordinary work and yet a powerful one.

Set in 1893, "The Devil in the White City" revolved around the lives of two men - Daniel H. Burnham, the curator of the World's Fair 1983, and Dr. H. H. Holmes, the serial killer who was allegedly responsible for death of up-to 200 victims, as he attracted them towards his "Murder Castle", stocked with a chamber for gas, a dissection table, and a crematorium to dispose of the bodies, according to Movie Pilot.

The story would also reveal how Holmes was further indulged in selling the victim's skeletons for medical and scientific studies. Leonardo's character has not yet been revealed. Adding further, Scorsese revealed that he is keen to work with the Oscar winner and the bond between them has strengthened over time.

The two have earlier worked together in many films including "Gangs of New York," "The Aviator," "The Departed," "Shutter Island" and "The Wolf of Wall Street". The films have turned into big money makers and earned a good reputation in the overseas market also, after-all Leonardo DiCaprio and Martin Scorsese make a stunning actor-director pair.
