'Suits' Season 7 Spoilers: Mike Turns Legit, Harvey Gets Promoted in SPL; Spinoff in the Works

Last season, Mike (Patrick J. Adams) and Jessica (Gina Torres) each had seen some sort of endings. In the coming “Suits” Season 7, spoilers seem to indicate new beginnings for them and in effect, the rest of the characters. Mike will now be a legitimate lawyer after passing the bar and facing a difficult panel deliberation. Meanwhile, Jessica will be the main character of a spinoff series.

During last season’s finale, Mike was able to successfully defend his right to become a lawyer in front of an ethics committee according to Buddy TV. Anita Gibbs (Leslie Hope), the prosecutor who was the one responsible for bringing Mike down when he was first found out to be a fraud, was a member of the panel. She was adamant to see Mike never practicing law again.

Even if Harvey (Gabriel Macht) and Rachel (Meghan Markle) tried to help him pass the bar panel, it was Jessica who became Mike’s savior. She told the panel that she knew about Mike pretending to be a lawyer. She also asked Anita for compassion towards Mike. It was Harvey who received the call that Mike passed which paves the way for his legitimate law practice in the upcoming “Suits” Season 7.

Although Mike has agreed to rejoin the firm, his sensational return to the legal scene will be outside of it. According to “Suits” Season 7 spoilers, Mike will once again be expected to butt heads with Harvey, who is now the firm’s new managing partner. Series creator Aaron Korsh talked about the changes in the new season in Deadline. He reminds everybody about the deal that requires Mike to work with the clinic. Korsh teased that they will explore the consequences of Mike working there moving forward.

Meanwhile, Jessica’s return in last season’s finale did not mean that she was all set to move back and leave her boyfriend, Jeff (D.B. Woodside), and their life in Chicago. But, Korsh revealed that it is not good to count her out because if any opportunity arises in “Suits” Season 7, he will bring her back.

In a related development, Gina Torres is said to have closed a deal to produce and star in a spin-off series. Sources say that Korsh is currently brainstorming on her character in the spin-off. Either way, whether she comes back in the series or have her own spin-off, Torres will still be a member of the “Suits” Season 7 family.
